Community Code of Conduct

1. Purpose
PitchNow Live is a community marketplace for authentic makers, artisans, and creators. This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behavior expected from every member — buyers, sellers, and viewers — to ensure a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for everyone.
2. Expected Behavior
- Treat all community members with respect, kindness, and professionalism.
- Communicate honestly and transparently in all interactions, including product descriptions, live streams, chat messages, and reviews.
- Support fellow creators and celebrate the diversity of handmade goods and artistic expression.
- Resolve disagreements and disputes through respectful dialogue or by using PitchNow Live's dispute resolution process.
- Respect the intellectual property of others, including designs, photos, and brand identities.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or permanent removal:
- Harassment or Bullying: Intimidating, threatening, or targeting other members through messages, reviews, live stream chat, or any other communication channel.
- Hate Speech or Discrimination: Content or communication that attacks, demeans, or discriminates against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Adult or Explicit Content: Posting, sharing, or streaming sexually explicit, graphic, or obscene material anywhere on the platform.
- Fake or Misrepresented Products: Listing items that are counterfeit, misrepresented as handmade when they are not, or described in a materially misleading way.
- Spam or Solicitation: Sending unsolicited commercial messages, posting irrelevant content, or using manipulative tactics to drive traffic or sales.
- Intellectual Property Violation: Copying, reproducing, or selling designs, images, or other creative works that belong to another creator without permission.
- Fraud or Deception: Engaging in fraudulent transactions, identity theft, price manipulation, fake reviews, or any other form of deception.
- Doxxing or Privacy Violations: Sharing personal information about another member without their consent.
4. Seller-Specific Standards
In addition to the general code, sellers on PitchNow Live must:
- Accurately represent products with honest descriptions, pricing, and imagery.
- Honor the Maker Standard: only sell items they have designed and/or meaningfully produced in small, non-industrial quantities.
- Fulfill orders promptly and communicate proactively about shipping timelines.
- Respond to buyer inquiries and resolve disputes in good faith.
- Maintain professional conduct during live streams, including appropriate language and behavior.
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately using the Report button available on product listings, shop profiles, live streams, chat messages, reviews, and user profiles. All reports are reviewed by the PitchNow Live Trust & Safety team and handled confidentially.
6. Enforcement
PitchNow Live reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to violations:
- Issuing a warning to the offending party.
- Temporarily suspending an account or listing.
- Permanently removing an account, shop, or listing from the platform.
- Reporting illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
The severity of the response will be proportional to the nature of the violation, the member's history, and the impact on the community.
7. Changes to This Code
PitchNow Live may update this Code of Conduct from time to time. We will notify members of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Code.
