    • Phone Number: Optionally provided for account security, two-factor authentication, and emergency platform communications.
    • Payment Information: Credit/debit card details and billing address processed through Stripe (our payment processor). PitchNow Live does not store full card numbers on our servers.
    • Seller Information: Shop name, shop description, photos, bank account information (processed through Stripe Connect for payouts), and product listing details.
    • Communications: Messages you send to other users, support requests, feedback, and feature ideas.
    • User-Generated Content: Product reviews, comments, livestream chat messages, and social posts.

    Information Collected Automatically:

    • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.
    • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, products viewed, search queries, click patterns, session duration, and referring URLs.
    • Location Data: General geographic location derived from IP address (we do not collect precise GPS location).
    • Log Data: IP address, access times, error logs, and server request data.

    2. How We Use Your Information

    We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

    • Platform Operation: To create and manage your account, process transactions, facilitate communication between buyers and sellers, and operate the marketplace.
    • Payments and Payouts: To process purchases, refunds, and seller payouts through our payment processors.

    • Payment Processors: Stripe processes payments and seller payouts. Stripe's use of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
    • Email Service Provider: Klaviyo sends transactional and marketing emails on our behalf.
    • Analytics Providers: PostHog provides product analytics and session recording to help us improve the platform.
    • Video Infrastructure: Mux and Daily.co power our livestreaming and video replay services.
    • Cloud Infrastructure: Our backend infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud services.
    • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
    • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

    4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

    PitchNow Live uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes:

    • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and core platform functionality. These cannot be disabled.
    • Analytics Cookies: Used by PostHog to understand how users interact with the platform, identify bugs, and improve features.
    • Preference Cookies: Used to remember your settings, such as display preferences and shopping cart contents.

    We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain platform features.

    5. Data Security

    We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

    • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables
    • Regular security auditing and monitoring
    • Two-factor authentication available for all accounts

    However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).

    PitchNow Live is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
